About the Designer
The oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States, stepping into a pair of Frye boots is like stepping into history. The company was founded in 1863 and run for 50 years by John A. Frye, a well-to-do shoemaker from England. Frye boots have traveled with soldiers from America's Civil War through World War II, and in the 1960s the Campus Boot, from its 1860 original, was reintroduced and soon rose to high demand. Today, Frye's boots still hold a place in American culture.

Frye never fails
This is my 3rd pair of Frye boots. I just love Frye boots. I first got them in New York. And since then I am sold! Good quality & very comfortable, and I get compliments wearing these boots. My advise is when buying a brand you are not sure abt the size, read all the reviews & check the size guide. They go well with short dresses during summer, with skinny jeans or tights. Simply lovely!

Easy to wear
I was looking for some moto-style boots for awhile before ordering these. I loved the look of the Rag & Bone moto boots but kept holding back because I really wanted something with a little bit of heel to lengthen the legs. Also, I didn't want something that was difficult to get off and on my feet. When I came across these they met both requirements and were actually about $200 less than the other boots I had considered. Overall, style + quality + price made for a great value in these boots. As the other reviewers mentioned, they are more of a dark gray but I knew that before ordering and so wasn't disappointed by this. They are a little clunky but not overly heavy or uncomfortable compared to other boots I own.

Love These Boots!!!
Unfortunately, I have been cursed with flat, wide feet and large calves. So, trying to find boots that will work with all of my flaws is extremely difficult. Since there weren't many reviews about these boots online, I was definitely taking a chance ordering them, but I'm so glad that I did! I typically wear a US size 7.5 or 8 and had ordered a size 8 in these boots. I've found that these boots are a tad larger and find that my foot slips a little while I walk when I wear thin socks. On the other hand, I'm sure that the extra room will allow me to wear really thick wooly socks comfortably. The circumference at the top of the boot is wide enough so that I can slip my monster calves in and still have lots of room. I can wear these boots with leggings, boot cut jeans, a skirt....the options are endless! The only real con is the color. I had chosen black, but they are more of an antiqued black/grey color. Not quite black, but still a beautiful color and an amazing boot!

They're cool looking, but not sure they're comfortable enough to get me thru a day.

Nice Frye boots
These are good typical Frye boots with a little bit of height to give you the extra boost. But, the color is really dark grey, not black.
