Brooklyn-based accessory brand and non-profit Mercado Global was launched in 2006 with the goal of empowering Latin American women. Each piece is handwoven by women artisans in the highlands of Guatemala using traditional local weaving techniques. Boasting an array of colorful and beautifully-woven crossbody bags, shopper totes, and hands-free fanny packs, Mercado Global offers everyday-ready carryalls that also happen to make a lasting and positive impact in rural communities.
