When twin sisters and Georgia natives Tamara and Natasha Surguladze graduated from design school together in 2000, they’d already checked “launch a fashion label” off their bucket list. Created during their undergrad years and named Tata Naka (the moniker is derived from the duo’s childhood nicknames), the vintage-inspired line takes an innovative approach to color and tailoring. Clever silhouettes (like skirted shorts) and brilliant motifs (such as rainbow stripes and watercolor florals) feature prominently in each collection of Tata Naka dresses, crop tops, and blazers.
