Native Swede Carin Rodebjer has worked in clothing design her entire adult life, beginning with an internship at a local fashion label called Soot. But it wasn't until a move to New York City in 1999 that she launched her namesake brand. Rodebjer clothing started as a small side project while the designer took classes at the Fashion Institute of Technology, and took off from there. Within two years, Rodebjer dropped out of school to handle the business full time, and today, the brand is a mainstay on the style scene. These timeless, mix-and-matchable creations—relaxed, minimalist suit sets, elegant day-to-night Rodebjer dresses, buttery soft jersey basics—have become famous for outlasting passing seasonal trends.
