About the Designer
The oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States, stepping into a pair of Frye boots is like stepping into history. The company was founded in 1863 and run for 50 years by John A. Frye, a well-to-do shoemaker from England. Frye boots have traveled with soldiers from America's Civil War through World War II, and in the 1960s the Campus Boot, from its 1860 original, was reintroduced and soon rose to high demand. Today, Frye's boots still hold a place in American culture.

AMAAAAZING!!!
LOVE THEM!!! I am 158cm's and these boots sit just under my knees. I have read other reviews saying they wouldn't be suitable for anyone with big calves; this is sort of true. I have slim legs and these are great for me! Usually boots are too wide and they look too big for my legs, but I could definitely wear these alone or with skinny jeans. If you have big calves (like Britney Spears calve size) then you may still fit them.... it just would be a veerrrry tight fit and could be hard to get on. The colour is a darker black than to what it shows in the picture. The black is a dark matte sort of black, which I absolutely love! The quality seem great, they feel sturdy and they are also very comfortable. These boots are worth every dollar!

Great Boots
Great, sturdy boots. The leather of these Fryes is so rich and soft. They look great paired with jeans or even a little sundress. Will be a constant staple thru the seasons. Run true to size!

Frye Boot
Pros:
-Gorgeous boot!
-Supple leather
-Color as described in the photos
Cons:
Small calf
-Too many mixed reviews:GET YOUR NORMAL SIZE
-WIDTH: I have flat/wide feet-these are perfectly comfy on me
-Not made for those with large calves at all!
-Stirrups on sides of boot LITERALLY for decoration...I pulled the boot out of the box by a stirrup and oneside came out of its seam-Stiff insole, will need a liner for comfort
Sizing: Smaller than Expected

Nice boots
Really well made, traditional Frye. I returned to get a different pair, but the leather is lightweight, the color is nice (photographs a bit lighter than in person) but I wanted something more riding inspired.
