About the Designer
When Kate Spade left her namesake company in 2007, she did so with a number of awards from the CFDA, Elle Décor, and House Beautiful under her belt—as well as the creative energy to launch her next project, Frances Valentine. Named in part after herself (The delightful designer’s middle name is, of course, Valentine), Spade’s new label evokes much of her signature classic charm—though maybe to a further extent, infusing the modern girl’s closet with chic shimmer and ensuring that no outfit goes out sans final (flirty) flourish.
