How To Measure
Find a similar style from your wardrobe that fits you just right. To take measurements, lay the garment down on a flat surface without stretching the fabric.
Waist
Measure across the garment at the natural waist and double the measurement.
Rise
Measure from the middle of the waistband to where the inseams (legs) meet.
Leg Opening
Measure across the leg opening, then double the measurement.
Inseam
Measure down the inner leg from the crotch to the leg opening.
Hip
Measure across the garment at the widest part of the hip and double the measurement.

Do NOT Size Up!
These shorts in this particular wash are really cute - they're a perfect medium/dark wash and the perfect amount of distressing so I know I'll wear them a ton this summer provided I get the sizing right. While these are a more "rigid" denim, they're thin and therefore don't fit as tight as other Levi's jeans/shorts of the same cotton content. Other reviews talked about how tight in the legs these fit, so I ordered these shorts 2 sizes up to a 29 from my regular Levi's jean size 27. They were WAY too big in the waist but fit well in the legs (I have muscular thighs), so I'm reordering these in a 28 (the size I typically order in shorts) and hoping they'll be just right.

Not the right fit for me. I have a booty and thicker thighs and I got size 27 (what I normally am in levis) and these fit my butt right but were loose on my waist and tight on my thighs.
