Designer James Perse found his calling in fashion when he designed the perfect baseball cap and sold it in his father's LA boutique. When movie directors wanted the caps for their cast and crew and record labels wanted them for tours, he decided to launch the James Perse collection. Perse next worked on creating the perfect T-shirt, and today is known for an array of luxe jersey essentials including dresses, tanks, and pants with a nod to the casual Southern California lifestyle.

Lovely dress. Really designed for the taller woman. I am 5'8" and it fits me well.

i am 5'5 and 115lbs. i am not skinny and i don't have super long legs. The dress indeed has a lot of fabric and the size 1 goes down to my ankle. it is beautiful. the neckline is just elegant. shows all your collar bone. but it kind of shows my huge hips and thighs too. if you have a tummy, you should be careful. overall, very beautiful.

Great design, terrible fabric
I love the column silhouette of this dress, very flattering, but the fabric is thin and rough which makes the dress look cheap. This would be an amazing dress if not for the fabric. James Perse used to be known for their silky soft cotton...apparently not anymore.

awesome if you are tall!
Great sexy yet sophisticated dress, comfortable stretchy fabric and super flattering. Unfortunately, for those of us who are rather petite (5"2" on a good day), the dress is way too long, and just overall too much fabric to pull off. Had to return :(

beautiful dress but not as tight as usual for a Perse size 0 and it's also alot of fabric style wise for a short person to pull off. Would be elegant and beautiful on someone a little taller ;-) I'm 5'3" 104lbs
