A matte insert gives a jersey Alexander Wang dress a sleek presence with a touch of smoothness. A notched neckline echoes the angled seams, and wide straps drape over the boned bodice. The cutout back panel closes with a hook-and-eye and a hidden zip. Lined.

At 18, fashion wunderkind Alexander Wang moved to NY to attend Parsons School of Design, and by sophomore year he was already designing his label's first collection. Though predominantly pure in aesthetic, the line incorporates elements of street fashion and the imperfect, a look that won Wang the Vogue/CFDA Fashion Fund Award in 2008.

Love the structure
I love this dress, I am a true US 10 which was what I ordered and it fits perfectly - snug but not tight. I require a little help with the last part of the zip as I have 'swimmers shoulders' but it's no problem. Overall this cut looks great on curvy but proportional girls (as in, I have T&A but a defined waist!). It might be a little plain if you were thicker through the midsection. I am 5'8" and it sits a few inches above the knee.
The fabric is coarser than I would have expected but it suits the structured bodice and detail on the back. The lining is silky soft so the outer texture doesn't really bother you anyway. My only negative would be that the zipper tends to stick at the bottom, however I have only worn it a few times and this may relax over time.
