Poor cut
I bought this dress in a size 8 having carefully read the previous reviews saying to size up (from my usual size 6). It fits a little loose around the armholes but reasonably well everywhere else. The armholes are a poor design - not very flattering. And with my D-cup chest, the peplum makes me look like I have an extremely short torso. The fabric is ok but reminds me of a velour tracksuit. I would return this dress back to shopbop but the amount it costs to return a package makes it not worth it.

Ideal dress.
Dress very beautiful! Excellent quality! Fabric not the thin! But it very much smaller than expected! My size usually US2 and I ordered this dress in size 6 and it suited me! Perfectly looks! I recommend!

Not as great as the last one I bought
I have never bought a dress in multiple colors/fabrics until this dress. During the summer I purchased this dress in light purple (non-velvet) and it exceeded my expectations. This is particularly true because it was my first ever Alice + Olivia purchase.
Fast forward to this dress: Material is way too thin (feels cheap, like it's going to fall apart on me) and the arm holes are cut really deep. The arm holes expose my bra and there is no way you can't wear a bra with the thin fabric!
These design flaws were not present in the previous dress but this is totally making me reconsider Alice + Olivia. I've returned this item.

LOVE the Victoria Peplum dress
I have the victoria peplum dress in black, navy, white, and now plum. This dress runs on the smaller size in all the colors and materials- I normally wear an small/0, but ordered this dress in a 2. I am 5'4, 112 lbs, 32D bust, 25 waist.
The plum dress pictured here is darker and less purple than the actual dress. In person, the dress is a brighter, but still a dark, rich purple color. It is a much prettier purple color in person than pictured here.
This is my favorite Alice & Olivia Victoria Peplum dress. I love the color and the velvet material.

Too small
As I usually wear size 4, so I ordered size 4. and it was too much smaller than I expected. My younger sis wears size 0, she wears this. and fits for her.
Also quality of fabric is not that great than I expected.(based on price)
For just lilttle more info, fabric is pretty thin, and not that stretch.
