Designer
Founded by the unconventional Martin Margiela, Maison Martin Margiela is a pioneering label in deconstructionist design. Working in completely white studios, where even the light fixtures were draped in white fabric, Margiela revolted against conventional fashion with over-long sleeves and exposed seams and linings and famously redesigned unusual objects like wigs and silk scarves into couture garments. Though currently led by a new design team, Maison Martin Margiela stays true to its avant-garde roots.

LOVE this bag!
I can't put into words how much I love this bag! When it first came in I was a little nervous since it seemed kind of stiff and didn't seem to fit on my shoulder well. But after carrying it for a day the straps softened up really well and it fits on the arm or shoulder perfectly. It's a great weekend bag, bag for traveling, or just for errands/daily. It is large--I'm 6 ft tall and it still is sizable on me, but it holds so much!
All in all it's a well made, gorgeous and versatile bag.
