I was pleased that at 5'4" the length was a few inches above my knees and not longer. The bottom is adorable. I got a size large which fit really nice but no room to spare, at 36C, about 130 lbs, 5'4". The dress is VERY heavy which makes it hard to wear here in Florida, and I don't feel it will look good with tights for the colder weather. The main reason I returned it though was the sleeves- they stick out in the front and look so odd. I think a few stitches would make for a nice ruffled sleeve, but I didn't want to bother. The top of the sleeves are done this way- stitched into a ruffle, so I'm not sure why they left the front straight. If you don't mind that, it is very cute and is a nice fit. If you are larger than a 36C, get an XL. Valentino sizing runs different in clothes labeled S, M, L as compared to their 4, 6, 8 sizing. I wear size 6 in all Red Valentino dresses, but always need XL in their clothes that are labeled S, M, L, XL. You can easily size up. Close fit.
