Designer

Designer James Perse found his calling in fashion when he designed the perfect baseball cap and sold it in his father's LA boutique. When movie directors wanted the caps for their cast and crew and record labels wanted them for tours, he decided to launch the James Perse collection. Perse next worked on creating the perfect T-shirt, and today is known for an array of luxe jersey essentials including dresses, tanks, and pants with a nod to the casual Southern California lifestyle.

So Soft I Could Sleep in It
I think the james perse line is pricey for what it is, but couldn't resist this slubby- soft fabric. I love the mild, moody color. The fit is almost snug but in all of the right places. The 4 fits my long- waisted 5'10" comfortably without being too short. I have shoulders and hips and do not feel the fabric clings too much or accentuates panty lines. The dress feels casual and is easy to wash while looking pretty sexy. I've paired it with flat gold sandals and beaded espadrilles. The weight of the garment is just right for the mild subtropical winter weather I'm in.
