Very little.
This isn't what I'd call a chemise really, i'd more call it shapewear. Would work well under a dress as it is VERY VERY VERY tight and form fitting. I wear a 32b bra and size small underwear, and this small is NOT a small, it's an extra small. You can't pull it up over your hips as the waist has no stretch (I have a 26" waist and it's almost hard to breathe in this), and it's very hard to get over your shoulders when you pull over your head. The seam under the bust is tight on my ribcage and would best suit someone with a very little ribcage and shoulders, the bust seems to stretch and would fit up to a small C. But, beware if you have ANY hips/butt/shoulders as that means SIZE UP.
