A little bit edgy, but warm
This dress is cute and comfortable, but definitely ran a little large. It's also made out of thicker material than I anticipated, which is nice for hiding any imperfections, etc. However, if you are expecting it to be a flowy summer dress to stay cool in, it may not be your best option.

Perfect casual dress
The material is nice and heavy so the dress falls perfectly and skims over my lumpy bits in a flattering way. I'm 5'5 and with the tie waist, the length is just right.

This is a fantastic summer dress! I think I have lived in it since it arrived. A bit too long for me but had it taken up so all good. Thinking of buying it in the grey colour too!

super comfy!
I'm only 160cm and i got it in XS. (still long for me, but thats ok after i altered it, it looks perfect!! So hard to find a maxi for petites!!!) The fabric is so soft and flattered when you walk, light weight but not see through! Love it!

True to size but could be longer!
I bought this dress in a small, I'm normally an XS (AU 6-8, 169cm, 52kg) but at 169cm I find I often need the extra length. Due to the style of the dress it doesn't matter that it is slightly loose, it falls very nicely and is quite flattering. I wear the drawstring tight around my hips and the dress then falls to my ankles. If you were tall I think this dress has the potential to be too short for you.
I have worn the dress a few times and the fabric has started to ball in a couple of areas - you can feel it rather than see it as I bought the black. I had expected this based on this fabric and other reviews.
I'm happy with this purchase and it's perfect for the warm climate of Malaysia

this dress is so comfortable and still elegant, perfect for summer, to wear with flat sandals. value for money although I have not washed it yet but the fabric looks fine, it is quite thick which is great cause it does not cling to the body

All round great.
This has won me over just trying it on and waltzing around the house. The French terry is very soft, and falls beautifully on my lower curves. I purchased a small and the fit on the bodice, particularly across the shoulders and back is very flattering. At 5'7" I do have to pull the waist tie in to sit just above my hip bones to make is fall just short of the floor. This is going to get a lot of wear... Might have to purchase the grey too!

Love this dress
The dress is great. The fabric is very comfortable and I think it will be comfortable even on a hot day (I haven't worn it yet -- saving it for my daughter's rehearsal dinner, but I may give it a tryout in advance). I really love that it's not clingy, emphasizing my "muffin tops." The length would be best with wedge sandals instead of flats, but the drawstring makes it possible to pull the skirt underneath it, shortening the skirt by 1/2 - 1". If it's a cooler evening, I can wear a t-shirt underneath; I will also have a pashmina with me because even on the hottest days here in Denver, the temperature drops 20-30 degrees when the sun goes down.
Delivery was right on time, ordering was a breeze, and all in all my shopbop experience has been very positive. I'm bookmarking the link.
