This V-neck jersey dress features ruching at the front, back, and cuffs. Pleats at shoulders and hidden zip at back. 3/4 sleeves.

Designer

After training at Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art, Alice Temperley founded Temperley London in 2000. ALICE by Temperley is her latest project. Launched in 2010, the brand was inspired by London life as well as the designer's travels in Asia and Africa. True to that inspiration, each piece is throw-on-and-go easy, but radiates eclectic rocker chic. Says Temperley, "We tried to create the perfect wardrobe of things you can just throw in a suitcase and go."

Lovely
This dress is lovely. It's definitely not a dress you'll wear everyday but it's the kind of dress that will serve as a standby for a wide variety of going-out occasions. It's sexy without being obviously so, meaning you could wear it even in conservative company. The best thing about it is that it's unbelievably comfortable (it feels like you're wearing your favorite t-shirt)-- a great choice for any event where you know you'll be eating a huge meal because the strategic ruching will flatter even a stuffed tummy! A minor downside is that the fabric is thin so the top is a little sheer which means you may have to wear a bra. I bought it in a size 2 and I usually take either a 2 or a 4.
