just awkward
I really wanted to like this dress. The design looked gorgeous on the model. While I had no issues with the colour, the overall fit was simply awkward. I'm 5'4"..110lbs...got the XS...the cups were too small even for me (I am a small B cup) and seemed to cut into your skin and the cinched above the waist accentuated the pooch area while the fit around the hips/booty was way too tight. And as the previous review mentioned - its been wrongly labelled as silk. Get it only if you're the straight body type

Fabric mislabelled
Unfortunately I am a fabric obsessive, so when I received this dress I was more than disappointed. I thought I had found such a bargain for a 'silk' dress for $80, however when I opened the package I could tell immediately it was 100% polyester. I took it to high end fabric store whose staff all agreed, but did a loose thread burn test to double check. It turned out to be polyester (the thread shrunk away from the flame and hardened into a plastic ball; chemistry does not lie). If you don't care about fabric, then by all means, this dress is a great cut, great design and very flattering. Luckily for me, the shopbop team promptly organized a free return with free shipping.

Just got this yesterday. The cut/style and materials are great. I am 5'2, weigh 108 lbs and the xs fit me perfectly. It, however, accentuates my lower pouch. I didn't think I had one but it somehow showed in the dress. The back shows my curves well but the front looks kinda straight down on me. The color just didn't look good on me at all. I felt COMPLETELY washed out. I am going to put it on one more time before returning it. I really want to keep it for the price though.
