These boots are beautiful but the shaft is huge! I do have slim legs but I feel like there's way more room in them than normal. I'm going to keep them because people say they're super comfortable and I hope when I break them in the gap won't be so noticeable. The dark brown is gorgeous. I like it much more than cognac.

These boots are awesome! I've received many compliments. I have the 7.5 in brown and they are true to size. They were a little stiff the first few wears, but I've broken them in and they are very comfortable.

So, I read many of the reviews before buying these boots... and had to try since there was 20% off! Unfortunately, what I've really been looking for is a caramel/tan colored leather boot, but I want to make sure I LOVE the boots before I buy them since most of them are expensive (since I want a good quality boot). Anyways, all the reviews were awesome, and said things about them running big. So, I decided since they didnt have any lighter colors like I have been looking for that these boots in black would be functional as well. I am normally a size 8 and sometimes can fit into a 7.5; so I ordered the 7.5 since there were no black 8's. To be safe, I also ordered a size 8 in brown (just for sizing purposes)... I couldn't even get the 7.5 on! And the brown ones went on (with a fight). I don't have really skinny calves, more muscular/whatever, but after reading reviews that they ran really big, I figured they would have had to be comfortable in a size 8. Both pairs were returned.

Never before have I written a review about something I bought so quickly. First off, let me start my saying prepare yourself when buying these boots to set aside the better part of an hour to get them on the day that they arrive. My hands are red and swollen from tugging, and my heels throbbing from shoving, but alas - they fit BEAUTIFULLY! And they smell even better. I'm 99% sure that I had so much trouble getting them on because the leather is just so fresh and they're so well-crafted. As it was recommended by someone else who has purchased the boot, I ordered a 7 when usually I'm a 7.5. I'll admit - they suck getting on but I think once broken in a bit they're truly going to live up to their reputation. Buy em!! :)

Every fall I buy too many boots...wait... is there such a thing? This pair in black is by far my favorite for fall. LOVE!
