good basic jean
Ive been on the lookout for a new basic pair of black jeans, and these were exactly what I was looking for. THe only minus I have is that they were slightly large on me even though I purchased my normal size (28) which is the size Ive been for the last 5 years. Its not too bad though, but if you're in-between sizes, I would recommend going down unless you have a wide torso.

I had been stalking these for some time and decided to take the plunge and I love them. I am 5'7" and size 29 in almost everything and got the 29 in these and they are perfect. Very comfortable, no muffin top, super soft. Just very very happy all 'round.

Unflattering
I am a true fan of J Brand, but these jeans looked terrible on me. I think it had something to do with the high rise fit. The back pockets felt like they were really high on my butt (almost to my back) and I just couldn't get used to it. I am 5'9" at 130 lbs and I took my normal size 27.

I read so many great reviews about these pants, so decided to try them. They were OK for me, and I kept them, but didn't find them so special. My usual size 26 was a bit large at waist, although maybe it's because they are meant for taller girls with longer torso - I am 5'3. Also, they stretch after a day's wear losing their tightness on thighs and bottom. I think there are better fit and shape keeping high-waist styles, for example Acne's Flex jeans.

Everyone needs a pair of these
These are the best jeans ever. I'm not the skinniest girl but these jeans are so incredibly flattering, they pull everything in and are so comfortable.
If you've never owned JBrands before my tip would be to check the jbrand website for your size, the sizes listed on Shopbop are generic and are not correct for jbrands fit i.e. for an AUS 12 Shopbop suggests to buy a 31/32, you should be looking at a 29/30.

Didnt disappoint!
My J Brands just came in the mail today and I'm thoroughly pleased! I wanted jeans that were more sexy than casual and these definitely do the job. The material is very stretchy and tight fitting but I've been reading that they loosen up over time so thats a plus as well. Overall Im pleased!

Great pair of jeans, comfortable and fits incredibly well. I got my usual size (27) and length is a couple of inches too long for me (I am 5'2" so a bit short).
The rise is perfect for high rise jeans -they sit an inch below my belly button (if it helps).
The fabric has a bit of stretch and isn't as soft as my 811 twill jeans but it was what I expected. Does attract a bit of fluff but expected since they are black jeans and it's nothing a lint roller can't fix :)

Great cut
These are, for me, a great alternative to leggings. I wear them with longer tops (being just the wrong side of 40) and I wouldn't get about in leggings like this but these black jeans are great. They are high waisted so they look smooth under my long lean knits.

My new favourite jeans
I got these yesterday and I could tell as soon as I put them on the first time that these will be my new favourite jeans. The fabric is extremely soft and stretchy, but its quite thick so I know they are durable. The colour is rich black, which might fade when washing them, but I like that so it's perfect for me.
They fit true to size, I would definitely not size up. I got my usual size 27, could have gotten a 26 although they might have been too small. They fit me perfect. I love the high rise. I am 5 7 and they are the right length, but if you are much taller then they might be too short.
Also, great service from Shopbop. Ordered them on a Sunday night and received them on a Wednesday morning, and I live in London! Would recommend this buy!!

J Brand makes the best jeans ever and this is no different! As these are high-waisted, you need to size down to find the perfect fit. Love this!
