this is my 2nd Rachel Pally maxi dress purchase from shopbop. LOVE. i'm 6'1 and have had a really hard time finding dresses long enough, these are absolutely perfect!

Thank god I decided to buy this dress when I did. A few days later, I was invited to a not super dressy yet dressy event and this dress was perfect. When I initially tried it on after getting in in the mail, I wasn't super stoked, because the whole big boob without a bra thing in this dress does NOT work. YET, with the way the straps are you can definitely get away with a lacy bra (which looks super cute poking out, adds some extra flair). I have my ribs tattooed, so I was happy that the dress perfectly highlights it :) Girls with dds+, you cannot get away not wearing a bra with this dress unless you got fake boobies! The material isn't tight enough to hold you in properly where you will feel comfortable -- trust me! Anyway, the material is fabulous.. on the heavy side, but that tells you it's good quality jersey cotton. Perfect to dress up -- I paired it with an awesome african inspiried bib necklace, big tusk cocktail ring from Club Monaco, and beachy hair, it looked awesome! Def buy

I wanted to love this dress however i think it is made for someone with a smaller chest, I looked like a tart in it with the cut outs plus the fabric was too sheer for me. I LOVED cream dress on the model and soooo wanted to keep it it just did not work for me and i had to send it back;(

This dress is LOOOOONNNGGG in length but true to size otherwise. I didn't go down a size as some people suggested. But I'm short 5"2, so I had to tailor off almost 10 inches in material!!!! I'm also curvy, even though I'm a size 4, I have hips and boobs. I was afraid with a chest in the 34D range this dress wouldn't work for me but it does. Just be prepared to tailor the straps to be supportive because a bra underneath isn't possible without looking ridicules and like you're trying to put you're chest on display. If you pull the straps and make them shorter you can forgo a bra and no look trashy and not hanging out. Also your hips are hidden by the fact the dress flows out just under the bust and works it's way down before ever getting to your waist thus disappearing and the length makes it even more slimming. Overall, this dress is great, just be prepared to spend extra on tailoring. I manage to dress it up, down, and feel ethereal in it. Just get a good tailor!!!!

This dress would be perfect if you are at least 5'7 tall. It looks nice on the model, but it wasn't flattering on me. I am 5"4, 117 pounds, and I ordered the XS which was the right size. This dress is cut not only too long, but also very wide across the hips. Looking from the back the extra fabric made me look 2 sizes bigger. Sorry, but I had to send it back.

I bought this dress last year and I haven't had the opportuinity to wear it yet. I still love it! It's a longer than I expected, actually a lot longer and I'm 5' 10". I'll need to have it hemmed. I'm ususally a Medium in maxi dresses but I'm rather small on the top so I got a Small and it's perfectly fine!

Simply said this dress is relaxed and elegant. I am normally an xs but could have gone to xxs as it stretches to fit. Buy it now!

After reading other reviews, I bought this dress one size smaller than I normally would. I am 5'10" and healthy, but curvy (usually a size medium top & 28/29 bottoms) and ordered a small. I ordered it for prom and wasn't sure how I would feel about it as the reviews had been mixed on whether or not it was too casual, but for me it is absolutely perfect. The material is so comfortable and extremely slimming. The first thing that EVERYONE has said is how little I look in it, which is always a good thing! The cutout details are not too revealing and mixed with the elegant simplicity of the black, it instantly becomes timeless. Will definitely be buying Rachel Pally again.

WAY TOO big and I ordered the XS. If you have boobs not the dress for you - unless you WANT to be obscene. Rest of dress heavy and huge.

I LOVE this dress! It is so versatile. I have worn it to a formal event, with some over the top accessories to dress it up, and on the beach boardwalk. The deep slits make it super sexy without exposing too much. However, there were two things preventing me from giving this dress 5 stars. First, the skirt is kind of heavy which pulls the top down slightly (making it seem bigger). Secondly, I have to find a special bra that would fit the shape of the top and not show through. That being said, putting the effort into making this dress perfect was worth it.
