Designer
At 18, fashion wunderkind Alexander Wang moved to NY to attend Parsons School of Design, and by sophomore year he was already designing his label's first collection. Though predominantly pure in aesthetic, the line incorporates elements of street fashion and the imperfect, a look that won Wang the Vogue/CFDA Fashion Fund Award in 2008.

Perfection but a little small
I usually wear a size 38. I got the 38.5 which fits nicely. Like another reviewer, I wanted this shoe in black but am very happy with the burgundy color. It is a beautiful shoe with a very manageable heel height. It is worth paying the full price for these shoes that I will be able to wear for years--matches well with black, grey, navy and camel.

Amazing Stingray Feature
The black quickly sold out in these and I am actually preferring the dark wine. I usually take a 38.5 in euro sized shoes, but ordered both the 38 and 38.5 in these because sometimes Alexander Wang only offers whole sizes and 38s usually fit me. I liked the fit of the smaller, yet hope I still feel the same in summer months! I have resisted a lot of the mega-platform styles the past couple of years and am glad to see A Wang come up with something classic, yet so incredibly modern and unique (not to mention sexy). I think this color will look great with a new robin's egg blue blouse I just bought at Vince (shopbop has it too) and some ecru silk 3.1 shorts I ordered from shopbop last spring. I dig these pumps so much... favorite spring purchase by far.
