Description

Sheer lace panels afford alluring peeks of skin along the arms and back of this silk blouse. The fold-over collar flows into a V neckline, which fastens with a 3-button closure, and a slim box pleat details the back. The long, lace-trimmed sleeves end in buttoned cuffs. Semi-sheer.

Fabric: Silk georgette / lace.
Shell: 100% silk.
Trim: 100% nylon.
Hand wash or dry clean.

Designer

Launched in the resort 2012 season, Jeunesse is a truly unique fashion concept conceived by AIKO Creative Director Cynthia Mittweg. Mittweg plans to experiment with collaborations each season, focusing on one specialty item per partnership. The inaugural effort: a wear-forever blouse designed with stylist Cristina Ehrlich. "I feel as though women are enjoying luxury and dressing up on some level again," says Mittweg. "Cristina has an incredible collection of vintage blouses and wears them often."

Elegant Simplicity
I found this line of beautifully tailored silk blouses last Winter on Shopbop and I've purchased a few since then, including this one which is, no contest, my absolute favorite. The "loose, but still fitted" tailoring combined with a perfectly placed line of lace running from wrist to wrist adds a subtle sexiness to what I can only describe as one of the most elegant blouses I've ever worn. I wore it yesterday afternoon with distressed (i.e., shredded with holes) jeans and then switched out to a pair of silk wide-leg trousers for evening. Compliments flowed.
