sent them back
they were quite snug and stiff - would need a good amount of breaking in but really, I returned them because they cut my leg off in an awkward place and were unflattering. If you are looking to elongate your legs look elsewhere. Otherwise loved the pattern and would have suffered through breaking down the leather.

Beware if you size up! Runs large
I normally wear US 8-1/2 or size 39 EURO shoes. I followed shopbop advice because I was in between whole sizes and sized up to a 9. Big mistake. Boots were WAY too long in the toe, felt like clown shoes. For the FREEBIRD line, I would size DOWN. Returned these boots and bought the Mezcal boots instead and size 8 fits snug.

Love em!
I bought these boots from a different place, as shopbop didn't have my size and i love them! I am normally 8-8,5, depending on a brand, these fit me perfect in size 8! i haven't worn them yet, but will soon!
