Oxidized, hammered studs glint from leather settings along the shaft of these scuffed and scratched leather Frye boots. Fashioned in the classic low-shaft silhouette, these are accented with a buckled ankle strap, while a smaller strap buckles over the gusseted top line. Rubber sole.

Amazing Frye Boots
I purchaed these boots in the late fall. I've worn them with all kinds of jeans and maxi skirts. Wonderfully versatile, great with mini skirts and tights, too. Leg warners can be a plus. The discs are unique and add interest. and a bit of edge. I'm tall with slender legs and these aren't too wide in the calf for me. I do have a narrow foot and always size down a half size in Frye's for the best fit.

Wish they had worked.
I LOVED these boots, had to have them. But they just didn't work in person as well as I anticipated. They were unflattering to my not-stick-skinny legs and cut off at a point on my calf that was 1/2 inch too low. They are beautifully made and would look cute with the right outfit and on the right legs.

Something very special
I had seen the "cognac" boots on other pages and those seemed to be a more honey/maple syrup shade,so much lighter-coloured.But the leather looks exactly the same as shown in the pictures on "shopbop",truly beautiful-I reckon,rather a reddish "brown" than "cognac",though.
The size chart rather confused me.A German 37,5 is converted into a 7,5,on the official "Frye" website it is a 7,on German pages it would be 6,5.I went for the 6,5 and am comfortable with cotton socks or "Burlington''s" wool stockings.I wouldn't be able to wear them with thicker wool socks or sweat socks,though.
I also would like to mention everyone working for "customer service" was enormously helpful for all inquiries concerning color,size,etc.
The shipping was amazingly fast,I ordered on Friday and the parcel arrived in far away Germany even on Monday!
