the best shoe for nyc
I'm thrilled w/this purchase!
Bought them in september, get compliments on them all the time, can walk ALL DAY in them. Normally an 8 in boots but i ordered the 7 1/2 and it fit perfect.
The plus of the loose shaft is that they make your legs look ultra skinny!
anyone who dislikes it is missing the point of this boot!

Love the boot, However
The boot is perfect for that rough around the edges but still stylish look! However, my boots looked like some of the black stain came off from the cloth bag it was in. It looks like someone scrubbed the boot with something before they shipped it to me. I wore them for the first time last night and got a few compliments so no one really noticed. But I paid $200 for a boot, it should be perfect. I am not going to return them because they are comfortable and cute with my skinny jeans. Also the fact that I live on an island and it takes so long to get stuff shipped here. Overall cute boot but if you are stateside, send for another pair if yours come like mine did!

loved this shoe, but a size 6 was too big for me and they don't come any smaller. gave them to my sister instead and she loves them. wish they fit me :(

Great heal
I've admired how great other women look in moto boots but being 5"3 and always needing a heel, I knew they would sit in my closet. I must have missed these when they first came out cause when I saw them last week, I ordered them immediately. I wasn't sure the heel would look great on this style of boot but I was wrong. They look awesome on and give the look I was hoping for without looking cheezy. If I was tall I would have gone with the Rag and Bone moto's or the Frye Engineer's but these are a great alternative for us short girls!

I was worried about the front flap coming forward too much after reading some of the reviews but, that was not the case at all! The front stayed up and was loose enough to add volume to the ankle area therefore making the legs appear nice and thin!!!! These look great with skinny jeans AND with dresses when you want a more casual edge. Very comfortable as well and plenty of room to wear with thick socks or tights. Enjoy!!! xxx k-dog

Got these and the other JCs that look similar but without the heel. Maybe its just me, but heeled black boots always look a little... floozie. The bit above the toe hurt my foot even walkng to a mirror to take a look. Cute look, but could tell I wouldn't ever reach for them given the tall heel. I prefer a flatter boot for walking!

Nice but leather is fragile
I think these are lovely, but the leather is extremely fragile, I wore them with some dark blue seven jeans I bought from shopbop and the boots seemed to turn blue after I wore them with with the jeans! Meaning the blue from the jean soaked into the leather and created a blue mark on the boot. I've wore the jeans with other shoes and they didn't do that... for 200.00 I'd like to wear my boots with jeans with out them getting blue ink in the leather.
