Great boots
Couldn't decide to go for the brown or black, ending up chosing the black which I am pleased with . Nice heel - very comfortable height. True to size but if you want to wear thick socks with them I would go half a size up.

I LOVE these boots! I was nervous that the size may be a little off because I'm an 8 1/2 but sometimes can be an 8 or 9 depending on the brand but an 8 1/2 was perfect for this pair! They're really comfortable and can be casual or for a night out!

Not bad but not great either
In short the boot solid and sturdy w/ the chunky heel. Downside the leather is very distressed which you can't see in any of the photos. In the photos the leather looks solid black but in real life its patchy, with an almost blueish tinge in the distressed areas along the stap and around the top part. its an OK look just not what I was expecting. just be warned.

Cool Booties
Orginally i wanted to get them in black but they were gone, so i got them in brown. Very happy with the style cus they look so cool in skinny jeans and had few conpliments from the strangers while walking on the street. normally i am size 8 but i got these in 7.5. its ok. but i would say go with your size.

exactly what I was expecting
These boots are just what I wanted. The are very soft and fold down very nicely. So far I've only worn them with skinny jeans, but I think they will look great with dresses too. Yes, you can see the stamp with the size, but it's so small you can barely even notice it and so I don't mind. They are cute and comfortable and accurately priced. I find them to be true to size.

Try to hang in..THEY'RE worth it!
I Bought these in black and in size 7 (my true size) I was so excited when I received these. However when I opened the box well.. not so much. The reason was the "distressing" (that's why I didn't give a higher score) However it actually looked more like white water drops. Then I gave it some time and thought, and then I was sold. The fit is good and comfortable. The leather is soft and overall good quality. What drew me to these boots in particular is the heel.I'm between 5'1 & 5'2 so I need the extra inches. Most motorcycle boots have the flat heel, and I needed ones in black so when I saw these I thought to myself perfect! Because it's rare to find ones that do have a heel.In my opinion it gives the boot some oomph and femeninity without looking contrived or costumey .I pair these with cute little skirts and short dresses. My advice is to wear a black sock or black tights etc. because the colour does "bleed".I definitely recommend.

good and bad
I am keeping these boots bc it is very hard to find a rugged brown ankle boot with a 2-3" chunky heel at any price, $150 to $1000. believe me, I have searched. PROs--cool-looking idea, perfect heel height, comfortable, the faults enumerated below are subtle. overall, you will get a cool effect with these boots CONs--for the price, these are cheaply made boots, not sure how long they will last. I have seen much better-constructed boots (for ex, fryes) at this price, and if you are used to construction in the $500 and up range then these boots will initially disappoint you. the faux stacked heel and the long wrapped strap both look a bit cheap in real life. the visible labels are idiotic. for me the solution was to cut off some of the long strap and not let the labels flop out. you get the same wrapped effect but not the tackiness of so much cheap-looking strappage. ALSO--I got gray suede first and the suede is very thin and cheap--the brown leather is MUCH better-looking.
