I am a curvy 5'3" and have been wary of maxi dresses. This is my first maxi dress purchase and I am very pleased. I bought the blue version and the pattern is exactly as pictured, and it is of course very soft material because it is Joie. I was nervous about getting a size small because I thought it might be too form-fitting for my taste, but it fits pretty well and is not too tight on my tummy or butt region. The only thing is that since I am short, the self-tie belt actually comes down lower than my natural waist. I have to hike the dress up a bit to get it at my waist, but it's not really an issue. The neckline is fairly low-cut, but I am pretty busty and it doesn't bother me -- I could see how other fellow chesty girls might think it is too revealing. I will obviously have to get the dress hemmed, but after that I plan on wearing this often with flat sandals and wedges for hot summer nights. I love this and will consider buying other maxi dresses in the future!

I'm 5'8", weight 125 and bought the small. It fit perfect. It's a very flattering fit and the only issue I have is that I had to have the straps taken up as it was alittle too low cut for me. I'm small busted and often have to make this alteration so it's not the fault of the dress. Highly recommend it for the price.

I love this dress but I was swimming in it. I'm 5'2" and the dress was too long and a bit too baggy. Better for someone taller.

This dress is perfect- soft, casual, flattering and very easy to throw on and look cute. Would definitely recommend it for taller girls.
