Designer
The oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States, stepping into a pair of Frye boots is like stepping into history. The company was founded in 1863 and run for 50 years by John A. Frye, a well-to-do shoemaker from England. Frye boots have traveled with soldiers from America's Civil War through World War II, and in the 1960s the Campus Boot, from its 1860 original, was reintroduced and soon rose to high demand. Today, Frye's boots still hold a place in American culture.

amazing
Lusted over these for years and finally bought them. The quality is superb. These boots can be dressed up (which is great, because I hate wearing heels in winter), or they can be worn with jeans. Comfortable from the get-go, but I imagine they'll only get better with wear.

RUNS 1/2 SIZE LARGE
I love these. I'm 5'8 so the height is perfect hits right below my knee. The are super comfy. I love that the toe is more pointed than most riding boots. I did have to exchange for a smaller size because they do run a tad big big.

runs big
love the boots but I think they run 1/2 size large so I will have to return for different size.

Toe too pointy
I thought I would really like these, but I found the toe much too pointy (they look rounded in the picture). Also, they were difficult to put on, because the lower calf/ankle is very narrow (and I don't have wide feet). I returned them because they were slightly more 'polished' than I'd hoped for.

ok but not in love with them
I have slimmish calves and these boots leave quite a bit of room around the top. I prefer boots that are snug all the way to the knee because they are are more flattering, especially if you are pear shaped like me or have shortish legs. I kept these but dont wear them a lot.

Beautiful but NARROW
These boots were so beautiful, and I really wanted them to work out. However, they were incredibly narrow. You could literally see my toes cramped up in the boot. I couldn't imagine wearing them around because they were so uncomfortable, so I had to return them.

Awkward
These boots are so cute but they fit so awkwardly. First of all the boots fit my feet but my heels kept coming out of them when I walked. It was like there was no indentation in the back of the boot above my heel to keep my feet down. Also the boots ended at a really awkward point like exactly under my knee cap-almost like they were caught under my knee cap so the boots were bending at the top. I'm 5'3. Anyway overall they just did not fit right and were just awkward. I returned them.

Frye Dorado RIding Boot (Black)
I bought these about a year and a half ago. I love them. They are a gorgeous boot and fit well to size. I don't have the problem with the calves that many women do, but these are a nice fit even for those of us whose calves usually swim in boots. Mine are a size 10 (I am 5'11" tall) and measure 16" at the calf. Super nice and good Frye quality. Hope this helps.

Very Nice Boot
These boots are really beautiful. They are a bit narrow in the toe, but otherwise extremely comfortable too. I am about 5'7" and the boot comes up to me about mid knee cap. They are great for casual with leggings or skinning jeans.
