Beautifully Tragic
A beautiful shoe for sure and surprisingly comfortable, but most unfortunately and tragically, the design is hopelessly flawed. I wore these for exactly three test laps through my downstairs and when I took them off and inspected them, I notice a small tear where the part that goes over the toe meets the bottom part of the shoe. Even on the shoe that did not have a tear, I noticed this part of the shoe looked structurally very weak and it would probably be only a matter of time before it would tear in the same spot. I have normal width feet. Not what I would expect from a $300 shoe.

Exquisite Essential Black Heels
This is an absolutely beautifully crafted shoe. The fit is flawless, although I have narrower feet - so keep in mind if you have wider feet. I took my true size 8 since the shoe measurements I requested seemed on the smaller side - I usually have to take a 7.5 since shoes are typically cut for medium width or wear insoles in a 8. These are the first size 8 shoes I have purchased that I don't require an insole for the extra room. Btw -I would recommend asking Shopbop for the measurements to ensure fit. I am beyond thrilled with the quality and attention to detail - on the sole etc. Very comfortable and easy to walk in, despite the fact there is no platform. The embossed leather and low-cut sides make this black pump very unique and alluring. The box and shoe bag from Alice + Olivia are also very sleek. I am new to Shopbop and couldn't be more satisfied with their speedy shipping, neat packaging and comprehensive approach. These black pumps are definitely a classy essential for anyone!
