Description

Raised ovals detail contrasting stripes along the edges of this vividly patterned M Missoni sweater dress. Petite tucks flow from a wide, waist-defining band, adding soft volume to the skirt, while a banded collar and elbow-length sleeves lend vintage appeal. Unlined.

Fabric: Double knit.
38% acrylic/27% wool/22% viscose/8% alpaca/5% nylon.
Hand wash.

Wanted to love it
But the fit in the skirt is a little strange. It has small pleats below the waistline that give the skirt a slight puffiness around the hips. When combined with the puffy sleeves, and the large (but striking) pattern, I thought I looked about 2 sizes larger than I am. Adding a belt improved things a little, but it seemed a shame to cover the waist detailing. A smaller size might have helped. I am a US size 4 to 6 (Aus size 8 to 10) and I got the 42. Italian sizes are usually small! 40 might have been better. Suggest sizing down if you are between sizes. On the plus side, pattern is amazing, the knit substantial, and dress is long enough for the taller gals (I am 5'10" and it hit me a couple of inches above the knee). Would have just preferred a more fitted look.
