Simplicity

The material of this dress is lighter than expected (it's definitely wearable now) and the dark navy shade makes it a seasonless item which is always a huge bonus. The material is soft, but not silky, substantial, but not heavy. The rolled sleeve gives it an edge of casualness and the length of the dress is micro-mini on my 5'10 frame. While I would be okay wearing the dress at this length with a pair of knee-high boots, I'm thinking I'll get a lot more wear out of it by lengthening it a couple of inches. The manufacturer has made this possible with a very generous underturned hem. A couple of extra inches will also make it possible to belt the dress giving it a defined waist, if desired. I ordered a medium and it fits in the same casual way that it seems to on the model. This is a 5/5 star dress!
