Description
An air of gothic romance clings to this Alberta Ferretti Collection gown, rendered in a blend of ethereal silk and lace. Ruched seams tailor the bodice, while ruffled panels follow the one-shoulder neckline and flutter through the side and back. The skirt cascades to the floor, gaining a touch of volume from a swath of ruffle-trimmed lace, and a single long sleeve effects a dramatic finish. One-shoulder slip-dress lining.

Designer
As the child of a dressmaker, Alberta Ferretti quickly took to sewing, spending hours cutting her own designs in her mother's workshop. That early artistic passion led the designer to open her first boutique at 18, on the ground floor of her home and studio. In 1981, the Alberta Ferretti Collection made its first walk down Milan's runways.
