Great boots, but are really larger than expected! Mine are black.
8,5 is like a 40 european size. Will order half a size smaller, hope they will be better.
I ordered size 8 and it still runs large for 39 european size. I recommend going one full size down.

The Perfect Boot
I have never gotten so many compliments on a boot before. I thought black boots were for me but these brown ones go with everything in my closet. I am 5'4 and the length was absolutely perfect -right up to the knee. The heel gives me height but I could walk around in them all day. They are very classic and are perfect for a winter night out or at the office. The color and make of the boots are beautiful. I liked these so much I went and bought another pair of boots from the same brand! Also, I wear a solid 8 in everything. I was worried getting an 8 with socks they might feel tight but the 8 was a perfect fit and still not too tight. Like I said, the perfect boot!

Go one full size down
I went half size down from my normal 9 to 8.5, and still these boots are a slightly loose. They look good for a casual look, though the ankle area is really quite roomy and the boots become a bit slouchy.

These boots have a slouchy ankle area which kind of makes them look like they don't quite fit right -not sure if I'm going to keep them

Boutique 9 Riding Boots
Got them in light brown. The color is more of a chocolate brown in person, not really light brown. I am usually US size 6.5 - 7 and I got the size 7. They are big, at least half size bigger, so maybe you should consider sizing down on these ones by half a size. I'm returning the size 7 and getting the 6.5, hope the 6.5 will fit better. They are light weight and pretty wide (box states M width) so they should be comfy. All in all, a nice solid pair of boots, I think at the discount price they are worth it.
