Description
A slim wraparound ankle strap puts a feminine spin on an otherwise tomboy-inspired oxford by Alexander Wang. These booties are notched at vamp, and the heel cap is trimmed with a leather strip at the bottom. Stacked heel and split leather sole.

At 18, fashion wunderkind Alexander Wang moved to NY to attend Parsons School of Design, and by sophomore year he was already designing his label's first collection. Though predominantly pure in aesthetic, the line incorporates elements of street fashion and the imperfect, a look that won Wang the Vogue/CFDA Fashion Fund Award in 2008.

I love these, but...
These shoes are amazing in almost every single way. I love the cut out look and the ankle strap. The leather is nice and thick yet soft. They fit true to size - I'm normally a US 8 and I took a 38. The length and width were perfect. The BUT is that the ankle strap is too small. I don't have fat ankles by any means, but they certainly aren't slender. More so average. On the largest opening they were too tight. I considered getting a cobbler to add a couple more holes, but even the largest width would be a bit tight and would make the strap look funny. Too bad, because I was in love with these shoes. They're on their way back now.
