Proenza Schouler
What started as a senior design thesis project for Parsons classmates Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez became a career-making moment when the duo sold their creations to one of New York City’s biggest department stores in 2002. A few short years later, the designers won financial backing from the CFDA, and began growing Proenza Schouler (the moniker is a combination of their mothers' maiden names). Today, the label's cutting-edge shoe collections include statement boots, playful pumps, and everyday slides.
