About the Designer

Hamilton Carhartt launched his namesake brand in Detroit in 1889, and the brand has produced comfortable, rugged workwear ever since. A hundred years after its founding, that legacy led Swiss businessman, Edwin Faeh, to revive the brand. Under Faeh’s lead, Carhartt Work In Progress (WIP) was born, and in 1997, Carhartt WIP released its first streetwear collection. The hardworking reputation Carhartt earned over the past century remains intact, and Carhartt WIP has stylishly ushered it into modern life.
