Not bad
Overall these are a classic suit pant style but they do differ from the original Max C pants in the old tailor fabric. They are higher waisted, so not quite as flattering but not a deal breaker for me. The leg shape is the same but I found these to be a bit looser through the hip and thigh. I personally like the urban fabric because it's more durable and creases less, I don't think it has a cheap poly look or feel. Bought these to go with my Gabe blazer in the same fabric, and at the sale price I'm very happy. I'm always a 4 and these in 4 fit TTS.

horrible - why did they change these?
The Max C pant was perfection. These are not. Awful, just awful! Not flattering.

Why did they change these?
I tried these on in the theory store New York. I have quite a few pairs of the max c in indigo black and grey for work, some in size 2 and one pair are a black size zero.
Anyway these in the size two were way too tight on the thighs and very unflattering.
I bought the emery in a 2 instead but wish I hadn't because they aren't that great.
The material isn't as good either. Used to be a finer thinner wool.

Not great
I usually buy Theory pants/trousers for work and am either a size 0 or 2. I brought these trousers in a size 2 and strangely the thigh area is tight in this pair..I am going to return them..disappointed on the fitting
