About the Designer

In an effort to transform the laundry space, college friends Gwen Whiting and Lindsey Boyd, who met while studying Textile & Fiber Science at Cornell, left their jobs as fashion executives to launch The Laundress in 2014. The brand debuted with a collection of plant-derived products made from perfume-grade fragrances designed to prolong the lifespan of clothing (& avoid costly dry cleaning). The Laundress’ gentle detergents, fabric conditioners, and household soaps will bring a bit of luxury to your every day.
