Fashion has always been a family business for Jill Stuart, who’s parents owned a popular midcentury sportswear company, and outfitted some of Hollywood’s biggest stars. Her own career, though, began at age 15 with a well-received collection of chokers and fringed hobo bags. Things only went up from there: following four years of study at the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design, the designer debuted her namesake label.
