Years before designer Jason Wu began dressing political figures and A-list actresses, he had a much smaller clientele—literally. Wu actually got his start making dolls and, of course, teeny tiny outfits and accessories for each. After saving up enough money from his time as a toymaker, he left the business in 2007 to embark on his namesake label, and things took off from there. Thanks to the designer's delicate, notoriously feminine take on tailoring, he soon earned a reputation as a go-to source for red carpet-worthy dresses. As for the those of us without an award show to hit up? There’s still plenty of covetable options, from delicate Jason Wu shoes to silky blouses, to classic ladylike purses to sultry leather skirts.
