It’s a yin yang blend of talents that make the twin sisters behind the Lizzie Fortunato jewelry and accessories label such great business partners. While Elizabeth’s flair for all things creative goes into designing the collection, Kathryn draws from her background in economics to market it. The pair first realized the power of these combined skills during their shared time at Duke University in the early aughts, when they turned Lizzie’s handmade jewelry hobby into a profitable business. They officially launched the brand in 2007, post-graduation, and things took off from there: besides gaining a global following, Lizzie Fortunato statement necklaces and bold earrings have paved the way for the label's expansion into leather goods as well.
