When former German roofer Franz Falke-Rohen founded his self-named knitting mill in 1895, he made a modest business producing a few dozen socks daily. As word of his high quality product grew, however, so did the company. By the twentieth century, Falke socks and hosiery were some of the most trusted in the world. Today, that status is still intact, while the business remains a family-run enterprise, passed through four different generations and counting.
