    About the Designer

    The Kayu label, founded by California-based designer Jamie Lim, offers clutch bags crafted with unexpected, earthen materials like macramé, shell, and polished wood. Lim preserves traditional southeastern Asian folk arts, including basket weaving and woodcarving, with each of her in-demand designs. Since its 2009 debut, the upstart label has gained attention for its handcrafted fabrication and natural looks. Kayu has since graced the pages of Vogue, InStyle, Elle, and Harper’s Bazaar.
