About the Designer

Founded in 2016, Boy Smells began as an experiment in candle-making in the kitchen of co-founders and partners Matthew Herman and David Kien. Designed and developed in Los Angeles, Boy Smells candles are made with natural fragrances in a coconut and beeswax blend and hand-poured into reusable glass vessels. The label boasts unique signature scents, like Cinderose a blend of rose and smoke and Gardener, tomato vine and honeysuckle, that bring together traditionally masculine and feminine scents to erase all expectations and limitations and create something that is both fluid and essential—and appealing to anyone in need of an everyday ritual.
