Wonderful, but a tough fit
There were a couple good surprises, like the fact that the main part of the body is a very pretty light cream color while the ruffles are a truer white. The two look great together and add dimension and also look great with the silver zippers. I also love that the zippers really function the whole lengths and can be opened as much or as little as desired. Very attractive and interesting. But the fit was a challenge. The tank is very straight and my figure isn't. The knit also isn't very stretchy (as far as knits go). The tank is cropped, which I often like since all my height is in my legs and things are usually long waisted on me. But with the straight fit, the short length just makes it look odd. I'm sure this will be fabulous on the right figure.

Great basic
Yes it's a basic but the curved, off center button front gives a really nice touch and flatters the figure. It's a little larger than I'd expected but I'll be keeping it because light-weight wool knits like this are so perfect for travel. They look great dressed up or down and light-weight wool, especially merino, is comfortable in a wide range of temps. It can also be worn more than once without getting stinky, as wool is naturally antimicrobial.

Very small in the bust
The color is beautiful and the design interesting but it wasn't made for someone busty, unless they're also larger through the middle. This was roomy in the waist and hips but was 5-6 inches too small in the bust. This is typically the limiting factor for me but I don't often encounter that large a difference when it comes to tops that look like they have an hourglass shape like this one. Trust the picture of the model. It's not clipped in back at the bustline. It really is that slim through the bust.

Pretty
I really like the way this looks all zipped up but decided it's not for me because it's tough to zip. The zipper travels up under the arm. It was difficult to get the zipper up and through that point. (I am busty so maybe that caused it to be more under my arm than it might be on someone less curvy?) In any case, I don't want to wrestle with something like this. It was also difficult to get started, which I don't encounter in quality garments very often. The sweater is not quite special enough for the effort required, especially with my overly full schedule. As for the size, I checked that it was "smaller than expected" but that's not quite accurate. It fits as expected based on the way it fits the model, but it fits smaller than most garments in the same size. Also, the knit is less stretchy width-wise than the average sweater knit. That works with the design, given the great shape and ruffle flourish but might limit the fit.

Beautiful workhorse sweater
This is a great go-to basic that's not too basic. The sleeves look great worn all the ways shown in the photos and open at the bottom half gives a bit of drama. I love that A.L.C. makes a lot of knits like this in light weight wool. Light weight wool wears comfortably in a broad range of temperatures. And theirs is rarely if ever itchy. It also looks great with dress pants, skirts, jeans, leggings.... This will get lots of use and be a great travel piece.

Gorgeous color but too oversized
I knew it would be roomy but it's too oversized. I own a ton of A.L.C., mostly XS (or 0's & 2's) and a few S's but the XS in this sweater is just too big to look good on me. I'm slim with a small waist and ample bust. Oversized stuff looks okay, but sloppy doesn't work. Just makes me look dumpy, pudgy and matronly. Disappointing because the color is beautiful. A gorgeous burgundy that's not too purple or too brown. Maybe if it had been cropped I could have managed it. The XS was even roomy on my friend who is a 4-6 and busty. If oversized looks great on you, you should snag this great sweater. Or, if you usually wear an S in A.L.C. buy this in the XS for a similar fit to (most) of your other A.L.C. sweaters.

Simple yet Interesting
This sweater didn't work for me but I'm giving it 4 stars because it will be great for others. The openings on the sides provide interest and the sweater knit keeps it from looking like the a workout top. I love pieces with clean lines and key interesting details. Unfortunately, the cut of the top layer over the bust didn't hit me right, causing the edges to stick out. I'm slim with curves. I'm sure it would have been perfect if I were a little less busty or if I were a bit larger overall so that the edges would have landed in a different spot. This sweater has a more modest cut than many similar open-sided tops I've tried (including another from A.L.C.) and would probably be fine for work environments that aren't conservative. Under a jacket it would be appropriate most anywhere since the cutouts are relatively narrow and limited to the sides. The under layer is wide enough to cover any bra so there's no challenge finding the right undergarment for it.

Flattering to hourglass shape
I found this jumpsuit works well with my curves. I'm a 0-2/25 jean with a slim, very hourglass figure and was having a difficult time finding a flattering jumpsuit. So many have voluminous gathers or pleats in the pants, starting at the waistline. Just exaggerated my hips and made everything look thick. Thought this jumpsuit, with it's fitted elastic bands, might solve the problem and it does. I agree with others that it runs small. I bought the size 1 and if it were any smaller it wouldn't fit. The primary limitation is the rise. If I had any tummy at all there is no way the top of the pants would have landed in a wearable location. Likely those with straighter figures can wear the bands lower, but for my curvy frame, I need them to come up higher to highlight my narrower area. (And the bands would want to ride up to narrower parts if they sat lower on me.) In any case, the rise is shorter than most. There isn't really extra room width-wise, either.

Great color
Love the flame (orange/red) color of this sweater. Looks great with all kinds of neutral colors. Been wearing it mostly with my dark green and olive green cargo pants. There are a couple things I wish Theory had done differently though. The sweater is basically a straight sweater with a chunk out of one side. But for some reason they cut the sweater to pooch out a little bit above the bottom band on the full length side. Why? (I had mine blocked to minimize that.) And the cut away side would be more flattering and interesting if they'd opened it up a little higher on the side. It doesn't extend up enough to give the optimal shape to the sweater, especially on an hour-glass frame like mine. Lastly, I like the textured knit, but not the slubbed aspect. I don't mind slubbs in general but on this sweater lit looks more like snags.

Ditto
Ditto what the other reviewer said about the fit and riding-up of the skirt. I'm about the same height and weight of the other reviewer with a slim hour-glass figure. This did nothing for me, especially when I walked, as it rode up. Looking at the close-up photo, I got the false impression that the texture might give the fabric a little body. Instead, it's just as drapey as a typical super soft jersey. The cut flatters the backside of the hip-less model, but was unflattering to my curvier derriere.
