Large fits 43 inch waist; Love it
At 70% off, this was a risky buy since there is no option to return. The risk paid off. I ordered the last one in size LARGE. With a 43 inch belly (measured around the bellybutton), it fits perfect. I essentially have no butt or hips. Hence, I do not mind if this style of skirt makes me look bigger on the bottom. It balances everything out. (I am apple shape.) I am also 5'9", which means I can wear it lower than the model and with flats. I plan to wear it with black tights & a black jacket/t-shirt. CON: I noticed that the pockets stick out a little; thus, if you are sensitive about your bottom half looking "too big" or "bigger" than it is, this may be a turn-off for you. PRO: It is obvious, IMHO, that this is a well made and designed skirt. The pockets are gorgeous and well made. I love it!!! PRO: The elastic appears to be long-lasting too. It is tight.

14 inches, larger than expected
The key just arrived and happily "shocked" me because I didn't look carefully enough at the measurements. It is not the size of a regular key. It's about 14 inches in length. I assumed it was a regular key. Hahaha.... Was I ever surprisingly surprised!!! I love it. I bought it to give my granddaughter (Get it: "Give her the key to peace"). I am going to buy the "love" key for her too now. I may also buy more of the "peace" keys for others & I WANT ONE of my office. Love it that much. Cons: It does has the dents described and the gold might appear "cheap" for the tastes of some.

Elastic Waist Was Unusually Stretched
To be as helpful as possible, I offer my measurements: I measure 43 inches around the belly. I like to wear skirts lower on my waist then the model is wearing it. Despite my larger belly, the skirt kept falling off me after only a few minutes. It was either stretched too much by previous buyers who had returned it, or is of such poor quality elastic that is has no staying power. It was too big for me. I ordered the last size LARGE shopbop.com had at the time. My 43 inch belly would need a medium, or even a small, if one were to assume the LARGE was of accurate size/quality. I do not think this was the case. I think it was a flawed copy or stretched too much by previous buyers who had returned it. Nonetheless, if it was stretched too much by previous buyers who had returned it, one must question how long the elastic will sustain itself in a normal copy of the skirt. I fear the elastic is of a poor quality and stretches too easily.

Gave tons of ideas; lots of pics & text
I love this book. There is tons of text. It will take me forever to get through it, which is GREAT in my humble opinion. The images offer tons of visual ideas. The book has already inspired new ways for me to wear my existing clothing and accessories. The authors themselves are the models in the images. As gorgeous as both women are, they are more "real woman" than the models one typically finds in fashion spreads. Thus, the images give the typical woman a better idea of what these trends will look like on. Bonus: I own two of the Yanrz scarves that one of the authors models in the book; hence, I could literally interpret the looks. Hahaha.... Highly recommend!!!

Elastic Waist Was Unusually Stretched
Perhaps the elastic waist was unusually stretched by people trying it on before me. For whatever reason, the elastic provided little to no support and thus, I was forced to return the size LARGE in the Trudy Fair Isle Knit Skirt. To offer the best advice possible, I confess - my measurement around my bellybutton - is 43 inches. I think my measurements & the fact the skirt was falling off me, indicate pretty clearly how stretchy (and I would argue perhaps "poor" quality) the elastic is. Aside from the "poor" quality elastic, the pockets are very nice and the pattern is pretty as well. More than once now, I have found if I buy the "only 1 remaining" item on shopbop.com, the item has problems. This purchase is a case in point: I purchased the last LARGE available in this skirt. Hence, perhaps it had been tried by many shoppers before me and returned (hence, explaining the stretchy-damage.) I don't know. Nonetheless, I hope this review proves helpful.

Few Photos; For Fashion Book Collectors
A nice price and some very good advice. However, most of what is contained in the book is likely old news to those drawn to such books. As an additional point, the book contains only a few actual photos (with the author modeling in these or no model at all). Instead, the majority of images are drawn - almost cartoon-like. Perhaps this will make the images in the book remain relevant longer; however, I prefer more realistic images. For me, a copy of "InStyle" or "Glamour" containing an article on closets is as useful or maybe even more so than this book. I am glad to have it though as it is a nice book to add to my collection of such books and it looks cool on the bookshelf with the other fashion books.

L fits 10 to 12 bottom (GAP sizing)
I hate to confess, but I have a belly that is 43 inches when measured around the bellybutton. After losing more than 30 pounds, I am smaller than previously and thus, I am excited to be able to wear a skit like this one. I mention this fact to let the larger ladies out there know that the LARGE in this skirt was a risk for me to buy, but that risk paid off. I have a very flat bottom however, and barely any hips - making up for my belly when it comes to full skirts like this one. I plan to wear this during the Canadian winters with thick black tights and ballet flats. I should also mention that I will wear the skirt lower on my body than the model. I would like the hem to touch the top of my knees.

L fits 10 to 12 bottom (GAP sizing)
This is the most beautiful skirt I have ever owned & one of the most gorgeous items. It is stated as gold, but it is ivory actually. It is not see-through due to the lining. I am unsure how well the roses will last. I hope they are sturdy. But I will be careful when wearing this skirt. I have a belly that I hate to admit is 43 inches around. But after losing more than 30 pounds that is less than previously. I mention it to let the larger ladies out there know that the LARGE in this skirt was a risk for me to buy, but that risk paid off. I do have a very flat bottom however, and barely any hips - making up for my belly when it comes to full skirts like this one. L fits 10 to 12 bottom (GAP sizing)
I have a flat butt and SMALL hips. I'm size 10 to 12 (for example, at GAP - US sizing - on bottom). Yet, I feel confident in this skirt. I recently lost more than 30 pounds - from a size 16-18 on bottom to a 10-12. Keep the above in mind as everything is relative and for me, it is a real triumph to be able to wear this skirt and feel great wearing it. I would advise women who are larger on bottom (maybe with a belly - I measure about 43 inches around the bellybutton) - with small SMALL hips - to give the LARGE a try. I didn't think it would fit. I took a chance and I am so happy I did. If this skirt does look too big on me in the eyes of others it is due to my belly, not hips. I found the pleats fall nicely. I desired (and it does) that the hem touch the top of my knees, so I wear it lower than the model. I wear it with dark tights, dark tanks and sweaters, and ballet flats or boots, during the Canadian winters. As a final note, it is a great deal for the sale price IMHO.

Luv Turquoise Subtle Cross and Length
I love turquoise regardless, but the subtly of the cross is what drew me to this piece, not to mention the price. I like the chain very much. I won't hesitate to purchase other Vanessa Mooney pieces with this same style of chain. The length is perfect too. For example, even with a big scarf around my neck, the length of the chain and the turquoise make the necklace standout. It gets noticed. I am unsure how it will pan out with wear, but since it is a dark colour brass to begin with I think it will be just fine. Gold-style brass pieces tend to look old or dirty when they lose their shine IMHO. The brass on this chain is not shiny to begin with. That's a good thing IMHO. If brass dulls, it can be fixed with lemon juice or the like however.
