Gorgeous colors, soft fabric!
I had put myself on a scarf ban. I just had way too many and wasn't wearing them that much. Then I saw this one and caved. I love the color scheme (you can wear it with black, white and blue denim), especially the pops of citron and it is a fabulous lightweight fabric--perfect for summer air travel. I also love the size--very generously cut but because the fabric is so lightweight, it doesn't get too bulky around the neck. I snagged this one when it was on sale recently and am thrilled I did.

Fabulous collar necklace
I bought this for my mom for Mother's Day. Her jewelry is typically a bit more on the funky side (she's an artist), but I loved the look of this collar necklace and thought it would be something she could wear both with casual and dressy looks. She loved it and has already worn it tons. I tried it on after I gave it to her and am now seriously contemplating one for myself--a simple piece that elevates any look and lays so nicely on the neck.

Unique and fabulous top!
This top was my first foray into the "cutout" trend. As a nearly 40 year old mom to a toddler, I'm not into showing tons of skin but I gave this top a try and I'm so glad. I ordered two sizes (Small and Medium) and went with the Small but it is important to get the size right on this one because the bandeau closes with tiny metal hooks so you want to make sure that it's not too loose or too tight. I paired this with some skinny black jeans when in Miami recently and it was such a fun nighttime look. This probably isn't a top you'll wear all the time, but it's cut fabulously and the fabric is substantial so I felt it was a good purchase (especially if you can catch it during a Shopbop promotion)!

Basic beach cover/sundress
I liked but didn't love this dress. It's fine for throwing over your bathing suit, but you can get something very comparable to serve that purpose at Old Navy for $15. I really don't see how I would dress this item up at all (the model is wearing it with booties but I could never pull that off) so I just don't think it's a piece I can justify keeping in my closet.

Fun, lightweight knit
I like Theory's knits and this one is no exception. As usual with Theory, I sized up to a Medium and could not have gone any smaller. My one hesitation with this item is that it is banded and rather short. I'm worried that, when paired with jeans, it has a potential to ride up and be belly bearing, which isn't a look I like. But I adore the yellow and white stripes, so I'll play around with it at home to see how it wears. This is a rather sheer knit--I would only wear it to work with a tank or camisole under it.

Good basic, doesn't feel like cashmere
I am planning to return this. It's a nice, if not particularly interesting basic. I was surprised to read it is a cashmere blend because it definitely feels like a basic cotton knit. I also found the length VERY long (and I'm 5'9") which I don't always think is particularly flattering, especially in a thin, form fitting knit. I just couldn't imagine what I'd actually end up wearing this with.

Gorgeous summer tunic, weird shoulders
I loved the gauzy fabric on this TB tunic and thought it would be perfect for my upcoming honeymoon to Africa. However, once I put it on, I realized that the shoulders are pintucked (or pleated?) with the result that they poof out quite dramatically. Not a great look and my husband definitely didn't like it. A disappointment because I really liked the rest of this tunic...

Looks Like PJs
I decided to finally brave a romper for my upcoming honeymoon. The color and fit of this one is great. However, the fabric is a soft cotton jersey so that once on, this looks indistinguishable from PJs. Had it been in silk or even a poly blend, I would have kept it, but I would never wear this fabric in this cut out in public. Definitely disappointing.

Classic DVF, with a twist!
I loved the look of this dress online, but ultimately ended up returning it because it wasn't right for the occasion (casual, outdoors rehearsal dinner) I was shopping for. Although the polka dots on the sleeves give it a more fun feel than the basic DVF wrap dress, this still felt a bit too work-y for me. Also, something about the patterned sleeves wasn't super flattering and had the effect of making my entire arm look the same size (rather than larger at the top and thinner through the forearm). This would be a great dress for the office (if you work in a fashion forward setting) or to have for brunches, etc.

Great white non-sleeveless dress!
i ordered this dress as a rehearsal dinner possibility as we will be outside in August in San Francisco which means CHILLY weather. So many white dresses are light and sleeveless that I jumped at this one because I knew the sleeves would help keep me warm. DVF often runs small for me, especially in clingy cuts, so I ordered a 6 though am typically a 4 in other brands. The fit is perfect. I'm 5'9 so I found this to be a TAD short, but my fiancee loved the length on me. The dress clings in all the right places and has these two panels of non-crochet material running down the sides which keeps the look very flattering. I plan to dress this up with some fun, colored sandals and think it will be a dress I can wear again and again!
