ALC top
This is a beautiful top. The details are exquisite. The fabric is not forgiving, so sizing is very specific. I wear 0/2 in tops and the 0 was too tight across the chest/sleeves. The quality is impressive enough for me to purchase from this designer again.

WAY smaller than expected
I have the Kinnsley pants by ALC in a size four, and they fit perfectly, so i ordered these in the same size, and they are WAY too tight. they only zip up half way. It's the strangest thing. I can't even gauge if they'd be flattering or not bc it's impossible to tell what they look like. And they're final sale. Avoid, or size up like crazy.

Great design not well executed
This top is absolutely gorgeous and the color is ravishing. The fabric is made in Japan - beautiful and high end... ....But alas, I had to return. The bustier that covered the bust area and peeks out from under the arms and exposes the sides of the waist was VERY loose on me. So much so, that I questioned whether or not I received the wrong size. I double checked to see how it appeared on the model and the stylists must have cinched the bustier with a concealed safety pin for the photo-shoot because it looks "correct"on the model but I would have had to alter it at my tailors. The models proportions and mine are similar and I know realistically the alteration would have remedied the overly loose bustier; but what a hassle and an expensive fix at that. So bummed but not dismayed - I now see why A.L.C. is such a cool clothing brand.

More beautiful in person
I love the flower print! The silk feels better in person. I love the modest length.

Go up in size!
I really love this top. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I had to go up TWO sizes. I am normally a sz 4, but it was really tight under the arms and the length was short. The size 8 fits perfectly.

oversized and boxy
Beautiful color and texture, but the fit is huge!! I wear a 4-6 typically and was swimming in a size small. There was so much extra fabric, especially in the back and arms, that I could have made another sweater. This was definitely meant to be oversized, and it might have worked for me in XS. Overall though the shape is too boxy for my short and curvy figure, so I'm returning it.

snap pops open
i love this jumpsuit. it is great for work or for cocktail attire. beautifully tailored and sophisticated. only problem is that there is a snap closure across the chest and mine pops open nonstop. i'm taking it to the tailor to see if they can do anything! otherwise, it is unwearable.

Runs really large
ordered a size Small, I am usually a medium and still was too big, so I had to return it. It was big everywhere, it was too long, large on my waist and the back detail was too low, you could see all my bra Shame because it is otherwise a really pretty classic dress

Comfortable and easy to wear
Fabric is nice and soft. Easy to wear with jeans.. Great for casual Fridays at work with a jacket during the day and straight out after work, with the slit at the back at night. Size is as expected. I'm a US4/small

I wanted this to work so badly!
I literally stalked this dress waiting for my size to come back in stock (a S fit perfectly on my frame....5'6'', 120 lbs, small-ish bond structure), and I was absolutely thrilled when I managed to get it (on sale,no less). When it arrived and I tried it on, I loved it.......at least from the front. The fabric is so luxe and it fits the body in a very flattering way without being to tight. It's definitely a work appropriate dress. However, the back is what I was let down by. First, the band of orange is pointless if you have long hair like me - and that was a main selling point of the dress! Second, there is no way to wear any normal bra with this dress. The cut-out in the back is RIGHT where any standard bra hook sits, and since I would be wearing this to work, I'm not down to substitute my normal bra for some bizarre stick-on bra or a bra with a stomach-wrapping attachment. Plus, at this price, I just want it to work. So bummed!

Simple yet Interesting
This sweater didn't work for me but I'm giving it 4 stars because it will be great for others. The openings on the sides provide interest and the sweater knit keeps it from looking like the a workout top. I love pieces with clean lines and key interesting details. Unfortunately, the cut of the top layer over the bust didn't hit me right, causing the edges to stick out. I'm slim with curves. I'm sure it would have been perfect if I were a little less busty or if I were a bit larger overall so that the edges would have landed in a different spot. This sweater has a more modest cut than many similar open-sided tops I've tried (including another from A.L.C.) and would probably be fine for work environments that aren't conservative. Under a jacket it would be appropriate most anywhere since the cutouts are relatively narrow and limited to the sides. The under layer is wide enough to cover any bra so there's no challenge finding the right undergarment for it.

Overall a great pair of pants
I love the fit on these! They are the perfect fitted pant that is still work appropriate. They sit almost at my natural waist, and are very flattering on my butt. The fabric is nice and light for summer, but not so flimsy that they won't wear well in the fall. I usually wear a two in pants, but I got the four because the two was sold out, and I'm glad I did, because the fit is just right. There were some loose threads on the fly and waistband, which is a little disappointing for a $400 pair of pants, but overall I just love these and see them being a major staple of my wardrobe for summer and fall.
