Stunning Blazer
This is a stunning blazer! I own several Smythe blazers but this one is probably my favorite. I love how the classic gingham print has a bit of an edgy style with a solid panel/stripe on the side. The fit is AMAZING! I'm typically a size 0 or XS but wear a size 2 when it comes to Smythe. I highly recommend this blazer! Also, love Shopbop! Great clothes, great service, and super fast shipping!

Gorgeous, Beautifully Tailored Blazer
My measurements are 34-25-34 and I bought a size 4 as this blazer does run small ESPECIALLY in the shoulders and I don't even have broad shoulders. The blazer itself is tailored amazingly and feels/looks expensive. This is an investment piece worth purchasing! One thing that I will do is tailor it in the arms as I have thin arms and the blazer looks baggy in the sleeves. I own the original wool Duchess blazer in navy and I found worth buying it in black as well! You won't regret adding this to your wardrobe!!

Fantastic perfect black blazer
I am thrilled with this purchase! Finally I found the perfect jacket! I read the previous review and based the sizing on this and ordered the size 6. Usually I am a 4 - The fit, tailoring and fabric quality are amazing and far exceeded my expectations. This is a basic every wardrobe needs.

Beautiful but SMALL
I love this blazer, unfortunately it is just cut so small. I am 5'8", 128lbs, 34B wear 27 jeans. I bought a 6 and 8 as I usually wear a 6 in blazers and after seeing reviews saying it was small I erred on the side of caution and bought both. Even the 8 was small across the bust and would not button easily. If I would have gone to the 10 the arms would have been too big. I am so disappointed. It is really beautifully cut but just on the small side.

amazing fit
i was debating either size 2 or 4 and got the 2 which is the right size. BUT i couldn't really buckle the jacket and the shoulder fits perfectly. i don't have broad shoulders to begin with. i don't like drowning in jackets so i picked my usual size and i usually don't like to wear one size too small clothes.

Beautiful black blazer
This blazer is beautifully made but small. I purchased the racing stripe blazer in a size 6 but this one was a size 8. Both fit perfectly. For reference I am 5'7 and bust size 34 (small).

always perfect Smythe
I have purchased many Smythe blazers and this purchase was as lovely as all the others. Smythe is so detailed and fits like a glove. The fabrics used are always top of the line and this beautiful blazer is no exception. It is very light weight and can be worn pretty much year round. It is a beautiful classic.

fit. fit. fit.
So I read the reviews and ordered a size up to a 10. I am usually an 8. I am a 36DD. The fit in the shoulders and arms is perfect but buttoning the gold button just under the bust area is a no go for me. I am debating going up to a 12 and or just keeping it because everything else works. When you have a larger bust you just get accustomed to things not fitting ideally across the chest area. With that, the Jackets (i ordered a blue and black- because there was a limited amount) are beautifully made, light weight and super chic!

Size Up!
I am usually a size 6 and ordered the size 8 - fit was perfect. It is a well cut and structured blazer. The highlight feature for me was also it's downside. The unusual back cut out actually flared out on the ends showing the white (why white?) lining of the Black blazer. The area sat better with the button done up but when worn opened, it really flared out. The fabric was quite thin and when held up against light/sun, you could see so much light filtering through. I did not feel the price warranted the overall look of the jacket. Sadly, I felt compelled to return it.

Weird fit
I really want to like this jacket, but it fits wonderfully in the shoulders and back and is tiny in the front. There's no way I can button it, so there's no way I can keep it. It's a shame, it's hard to find quality women's blazers.

Lots of little problems
The item I most look forward to happens to be the biggest disappointment. I'm usually a size 0 but since this blazer is supposed to run small, I ordered the size 2 and it fits. While the top part of the blazer fits very well, the back of the bottom part sticks out and the sleeves are at least 2 inches too long even though my arms are of average length (if not slightly longer). In addition, the way the shoulders are padded is a little old fashioned and the cut of the lapel isn't very flattering. I have another blazer with a similar back detail where the middle portion is shorter, but that one has a pair of real vents which makes the fit more forgiving and sophisticated whereas this one is stitched down. All these little issues and the quality of the fabric make the blazer way too expensive for what it is, so I'm returning it.

The BEST Blazer
I was skeptical that this blazer would live up to the hype. But after trying several others by premium brands including Theory, Rag & Bone, and Zadig & Voltaire, I decided on this one. The first size 2 I got fit perfectly in the shoulders and arms, but I could barely button it. However, the size 4 was definitely too big and would have required extensive tailoring. (Size 2 in every other model of Smythe blazer was too large, especially the patch pocket style). But after trying all the others, I decided to give the size 2 another try -- and the second one I got fit just perfect! I was able to button it (they must vary ever so slightly in sizing). So, my message to you -- if the first one you try doesn't fit perfectly, order a second! The quality and fit of this blazer is so much better than literally everything else out there that once I tried it, I couldn't go with another brand.

Hands down. Excellent jacket
Excellent jacket for every way! The only thing is it runs a little small, I am 5,4" 110lb and normally my size is small or 2 but size 2 in this jacket didn't fit me at all , I couldn't button it up ( and I happen to have a small chest) and the shoulders area was also tight. I am DEF getting size 4!
