The search continues
I never thought I had fat calves and ankles until I got pregnant. For some reason (even though I am short 5 feet and 150lbs), rainboots do not agree with me. They create a horrible suction... that makes it hard for me to take off the boot. I kid you not... I had rainboots on and it stopped raining so I tried to take off the boots... I spent about 20 minutes trying to take it off (the suction was terrible, and I was so embarrassed). Needless to say, I thought that maybe these boots would work for me. I should have known when I had a hard time getting the boot over my ankle that it would be hard to get them off (but I was determined to have the hunters work for me). It was love at first sight for my eyes, but for my legs, not so much. I sadly have to return these beauties... so my search continues. My pocketbook (and husband) will thank my ankles and fat legs.

So happy about these!
While my calves fit in the regular Hunter boots, I always found them a bit tight especially with jeans, and I was tired of struggling to get them off or sweating all day in the boots. These back adjustable ones offer a bit more room to breathe, and the Hunter socks even fit over them. I'm so happy I finally got them.

Warm and fits over back adjustable boots
I bought these to wear over my Hunter back adjustable boots. I was worried they wouldn't fit over them, but they do. This sock is really useful for cold, rainy days.

So small
I know everyone says size down in Hunters but these are SO SMALL. I am a 9.5 so sized down to the 9 but my big toe was poking out of the front of these rubber boots. Unfortunately they're out of the 10 so these will have to go back. Gorgeous boots though.

Can't go wrong with Hunter
I LOVE my Hunter boots. After having a pair for 5+ years, they are still the greatest looking things ever. Very true to size, however not great traction if you are walking on icy snow or ice patches.

Fits well.
Very comfortable and also warm. Calf is tighter fitting than the original Hunter Boot. Back strap looks good. A more sophisticated boot than the original.

PAINFUL
These boots are cute has hell and even cuter in person. But they rub my leg around the ankles RAW. I saw tons of reviews that stated the same thing and I stupidly ignored them and got them anyway. The first time I was wearing just normal socks. I ended up with burns on my legs that hurt even if nothing was touching them. It's been six weeks and I still have the scars, but I thought I'd try again wearing tights+thick socks+double bandaids. The result? I tolerated them for a bit longer before the chafing started again. It pains me to say, do not buy. They're just not worth it.

Love Hunter boots, but...
I found these were fitted at the top of the boot and were very cute but seemed to buckle out at the side. Not very flattering on me. I think if you have REALLY skinny legs these would be the perfect boot for you!
